Quality

QRS is proud of their on-going commitment to quality management systems and are accredited to the internationally recognised standard for quality ISO 9001:2008.  Quality is built into every activity, process, and procedure.  QRS has developed and maintains a documented Company Compliance Management System as a means of ensuring that products and services conform to specified requirements.  The implementation of structured policies and procedures aims to enhance customer satisfaction and improve business performance.

The effectiveness and performance of the Company Compliance Management System is subject to on-going internal audits as well as stringent external audits.  This provides a verified platform from which on-going improvements can take place.

Personnel Training

QRS regularly reviews and identifies training needs of all employees in an effort to provide a training programme that will produce operations that are effective, efficient and safe.

The training programme includes an induction session for all new employees, reviews for existing employees and on-going formal training, as part of our company’s response to the changing requirements in the civil construction and roading industry.

Health and Safety Management System

Under the requirements of the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992, QRS outlines their commitment to providing for the health and safety of its entire staff and others involved in their operations.  The company’s policies are aligned to AS/NZS 4801:2001, the joint Australia/New Zealand standard for Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems.

QRS participates in ACC’s partnership programme ‘Workplace Safety Management Practices’ which involves regular audits.  QRS is currently accredited with Secondary level.

Communications

QRS has developed an extensive communication system which we are always improving. QRS has radiotelephones distributed throughout mobile plant to allow good district coverage.

With radiotelephones, cell phones and pagers, management staff are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  To facilitate an emergency response the company has a two level system activated through a telemetry paging service.
